Meetings of Minds - smart mobility & transportation specialists gather at EcoMotion, ITS California & ITE IMSA

EcoMotion 2022

Our Middle Eastern kick off!

The journey started on home turf for the team as Eco Motion 2022 kicked off its 10th annual conference in Tel Aviv. This event traditionally brings together over 3000 smart mobility professionals globally to meet face to face, explore opportunities and engage in conversation. It’s a fantastic platform for knowledge sharing and networking, the biggest in the local Israel arena.

NoTraffic were part of the EcoMotion startup exhibition who host startups in the field of Smart Mobility from all over the world. We were among other companies presenting their products and solutions in the field of autonomous vehicles, cybersecurity, aviation solutions, drones and flying cars.

The event itself offered an impressive list of speakers. Issac Herzog, President of Israel took to the main stage to express his pride in the development of Israel’s high-tech industry. He was then joined by his Ministry of Transport & Road Safety, Merav Michaeli who spoke about her ministry’s perspective on technological advancement in the world of transportation. Other notable presentations came from Paul Ajegba, Director at the State of Michigan DoT and Trevor Pawl, Chief Mobility Officer from the State of Michigan. Together they discussed Michigan’s drive to innovation. Our team also gathered for ‘New Challenges in Urban Mobility’ presented by friend and supporter of NoTraffic, Roger Lanctot from Strategy Analytics.

Back on the event floor, VP of Marketing Dvir Reznik, Content Marketing Manager Becky Evans and Business Development Manager Matan Nir played host at our booth on Mobility Drive with on-site support from Tal, Roi, Inna & Liron. Multiple conversations later and many a business card exchanged, the team felt they had met a great group of people with an interest in our solution. A  purposeful opportunity for face-time on a local and international level, EcoMotion has become an annual event marker for the company calendar.

The 27th Annual ITS California conference and exhibition

Over to the beautiful bay…

The stunning backdrop of San Francisco was next on our team roadtrip where it played host to the 27th Annual ITS California conference and exhibition.

This is the premier event for the ITS industry in California and a great opportunity for companies to learn from industry leaders as well as meet and hear from transportation specialists in government, industry, and academic organizations. The aim of the ITS community is to provide education and inspiration through events and strategic partnerships, and to help drive the implementation and deployment of transportation technology in the state of California.

This time Dvir was joined by CBO Norman Tutnauer, VP Sales Tom Cooper, Director of Product Roi Amar and RSM Nathan Gray who teamed up to meet many city offcials. NoTraffic were both exhibitors and sponsors of this year’s event and it provided a great opportunity for us to make use of the networking opportunities in all the represented arenas of smart transportation.  Great to catch up with our Caltrans customer Asfand Siddiqui – Sr Transport Engineer, California Department of Transportation, who stopped by the booth to reinforce his support and recommendation.

We had a brilliant couple of days on the show floor and thanks also to Tom Cooper who bravely took on the Vendor Technology Showcase with a whistle stop 5 mins to sell the company to a packed out ballroom!

ITE IMSA Annual Spring Conference

Heading south west to the Valley of the Sun

Last on the agenda for this month was Arizona’s capital city Phoenix who were holding this year’s ITE IMSA Annual Spring Conference.

Alongside NoTraffic were other Exhibitors discussing the latest products and technology.  The conference provided a great opportunity to see what’s new in the marketplace and of course an all important networking opportunity.

Fresh from the ITS CA event, the onsite team made up of Norman, Tom, Roi and Nathan offered their knowledge and experience to event attendees. This year also saw a strong program of technical sessions from an outstanding group of topics and speakers. There were multiple offerings from speakers from the City of Phoenix with some insightful content around the relationship between transportation equity and safety. Our solution was featured within the Traffic Management and Performance Measures sessions – ‘Evaluation of an AI-based Traffic Management System Pilot’ hosted by Isaiah Landavaso from the City of Phoenix and Abolfazl Karimpour from the University of Arizona. Its always a proud moment to hear about the NoTraffic story in action!
